Terms and Conditions

These terms define the rules for using The Idea Verdict, including founder submissions, reviewer feedback, moderation, ownership, prohibited uses, and liability limits.

Effective date: July 1, 2026

Agreement

These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of The Idea Verdict, including the website, account features, founder submissions, reviewer feedback, dashboards, moderation tools, and related services.

By accessing or using the service, creating an account, submitting an idea, reviewing an idea, or clicking a sign-in or account button, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the service. If you use the service on behalf of a company, organization, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

Accounts

You are responsible for your account, credentials, sessions, and all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information, keep your login secure, and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.

We may refuse, suspend, limit, or terminate accounts when needed to protect users, enforce these Terms, investigate abuse, comply with law, or preserve service integrity.

What the service does

The service lets founders submit startup ideas and lets reviewers provide structured feedback. The service may summarize feedback, calculate scores, show reviewer signals, support moderation, and help founders decide whether to build, pause, or revise an idea.

The service does not provide legal, financial, investment, accounting, tax, employment, business, or professional advice. Feedback is subjective market research, not a guarantee of demand, funding, revenue, product-market fit, or business success.

Founder submissions

You are responsible for every idea, link, description, assumption, and other content you submit. You represent that you have the right to submit that content and that it does not violate law, third-party rights, confidentiality duties, employment duties, platform rules, or these Terms.

Do not submit confidential information, trade secrets, sensitive customer information, regulated data, non-public employer information, patent-sensitive disclosures, or anything you cannot safely share with reviewers and moderators.

Reviewer conduct

Reviewers must provide honest, relevant, respectful, and good-faith feedback. Reviewers may not harass, spam, manipulate scores, impersonate others, submit low-effort content, copy another user's work, or use founder submissions for unauthorized purposes.

User content license

You keep ownership of content you submit, subject to any rights you already granted to others. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, transmit, format, analyze, moderate, summarize, and otherwise use your content as needed to operate, improve, secure, and provide the service.

You also grant other users a limited right to view and use your content only as allowed by the service workflow, such as reviewing approved ideas or reading feedback connected to your own submitted idea.

Intellectual property

The Idea Verdict, including the product design, branding, interface, software, workflows, scoring logic, and related materials, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you ownership of the service or our intellectual property.

You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, scrape, resell, sublicense, frame, or create derivative works from the service except as allowed by law or with written permission.

Prohibited uses

You agree not to misuse the service.

  • Do not violate laws, third-party rights, privacy rights, intellectual property rights, or contractual obligations.
  • Do not upload malware, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with security, probe infrastructure, bypass rate limits, or disrupt the service.
  • Do not scrape, harvest, or bulk export content or personal information without written permission.
  • Do not submit deceptive, unlawful, defamatory, abusive, discriminatory, sexually exploitative, violent, or harmful content.
  • Do not use the service to evaluate, promote, or facilitate illegal products, regulated activity you are not authorized to conduct, scams, spam, or harmful conduct.
  • Do not manipulate reviewer scores, create fake accounts, impersonate others, or misrepresent affiliations.

Moderation and content removal

We may review, approve, reject, hide, edit labels for, restrict, or remove content at our discretion. We are not obligated to monitor all content and are not responsible for user content. Moderation decisions may be imperfect and may change over time.

Payments and paid features

If paid features are introduced, pricing, billing terms, renewal terms, cancellation terms, and refund terms will be shown before purchase or in supplemental terms. Unless stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

Third-party services

The service relies on third-party providers such as Supabase, Google, Vercel, database infrastructure, hosting infrastructure, and other operational vendors. Your use of third-party sign-in or linked services may also be subject to those providers' terms and policies.

We are not responsible for third-party services, outages, policy changes, security incidents, or content outside our control.

Beta nature and availability

The service may change, break, pause, or be discontinued. Features may be experimental. We may modify, suspend, limit, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with or without notice.

Disclaimers

The service is provided as is and as available. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, security, and reliability.

We do not warrant that feedback will be accurate, useful, unbiased, confidential, available, or representative of any market.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or lost-profit damages, or for loss of data, goodwill, business opportunity, revenue, or business interruption, even if we were advised of the possibility.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the service in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim or 100 US dollars.

Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your content, your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, or your violation of third-party rights.

Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk, caused harm, or used the service in a way that may expose us or others to liability.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, user content license, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, dispute terms, and payment obligations.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where the service operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a specific operating entity or jurisdiction is later identified on the site, that jurisdiction will control from the date it is posted.

Before filing a formal claim, you agree to contact us and try to resolve the dispute informally. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
